Time is running out to save the Timbisha language, basket making art, ancient mythology, oral history and cultural traditions. There are only a very few Timbisha Elders still alive who have this precious knowledge.
Concerned Elders in the Timbisha Village in Death Valley have started to work on a series of new teaching programs and have created, The TUPIPPUH PROJECT (Homeland Project).
As they work to find grant money to support this important project, it is important that they receive as much funding from individual supporters as possible to facilitate their ongoing efforts to establish these cultural teaching programs as soon as possible.
The TUPIPPUH PROJECT is a nonprofit Native American organization dedicated to the protection of the environment and preservation of the language, arts and cultural traditions of the Timbisha People.
